Vedike to stage Satyagraha demanding Government to ban Made Made Snana

Mangalore, Dec 5, 2013 : “Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike will stage Satyagraha in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office on December 7 demanding the intervention of State Government to ban the practice of Made Made Snana and discrimination of schedule castes people in Sri Kukke Subramanya and other temples,” said K.S.Shivaramu, state president of the Vedike during a press briefing on Wednesday, December 4.

“In the year 2011 when BJP government was in power Congress had opposed Made Made Snana. Siddaramiaiah who was the opposition leader had pressurized the Government to ban the practice. Now that Congress is in power and Siddaramiaiah is the Chief Minister they should ban the practice.” Shivaramu demanded.

“Janan Prakasha Swami, Peddi Mahasamsthana Math, Basavaraj Devaru, Revanasiddehswara Math and various other progressive seers, Sainik Dal, Dalit Sangarsha Samithi and DYFI will participate in the Satyagraha,”he informed.

Anti Superstition Bill should be implemented

“The Anti superstitions practices bill is not against ant religion or religious practices. Instead it will contribute to strengthen the practice against certain practices which are dangerous and also exploits people. The bill will foster good ideals if implemented,” he opined.
