Mangaluru, June 09, 2023: The death of a 25 year old woman by suicide just days after a grand house warming ceremony at Ullal, has   given rise to several questions. The death note left by the woman Ashwini Bangera reveals that she was cheated in the process of purchasing the house.

Ashwini

While Ashwini had given cash to the woman from whom she purchased the house, on the other hand bank personnel had arrived at the house on the house warming day itself demanding repayment of loan. This is learnt to have embarrassed the young woman as many guests were at the home when this took place.

Ashwini who hailed from Farangipete had purchased the house at Kumpala Chitranjalinagar. She worked in Dubai and had come home just a few days ago.

It is learnt in Dubai she got acquainted with a woman named Sangeetha. It was also agreed upon that the house would be registered in Ashwini’s name as soon as the bank loan was cleared. Sangeetha had owed Rs 18 lakhs to the bank. Ashwini had provided Rs 7 lakhs advance and also Rs 17000 towards EMI for eight months. However on the house warming day of June 5, she learnt from bank personnel that EMI has not been paid since a year. They had also asked her to come to the bank on June 8. On June 7, Ashwini who was worried about this reportedly ended her life after writing a 14 page death note.

The death note written in English using Tulu words has stated that no one was responsible but herself for her death. She also had written that there should be no action on the basis of the death note. She has also written Nikhil I Love You and requested that her iphone be handed over to her friend Nikhil.

Meanwhile, Ashwini’s mother Devaki has blamed her daughter’s friends Nikhil and two other women for spoiling her. She said they had a cigarette party on the terrace on the house warming day.

Police said investigation could be done if the woman’s mother files a complaint.
