Udupi: Railway staff return bag of valuables of woman

Udupi, May 28, 2024: A woman who had forgotten her trolley bag containing valuables at the Suratkal railway station, in her hurry to board a train to Mumbai, got her bag thanks to the honesty of the Konkan Railway staff, who took the bag to their custody and returned it to her on May 28, Monday.

 

The bag had jewellery valued at nearly Rs 11.5 lakhs. The woman who had forgotten her bag at the station and had reached Mumbai came to know about the missing bag only later. She then sent a relative to the station and he was told that the owner of the bag must come to receive it.

Accordingly the woman Chitravathi arrived at the Udupi railway station and after verifying the identity and after due procedures received her bag.

She later thanked the RPF personnel and the station master and other staff of the station for their help.
