Udupi MLA criticizes formation of Anti-Communal Wing

Udupi, June 16, 2023: Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna has come down heavily on the state government decision to establish anti-communal wing. He said this was an attempt to instill fears in the minds of the people.

 

Speaking to reporters here, he said it was the SDPI which first welcomed the formation of the wing. He claimed that the Congress and SDPI were two faces of the same coin. He said the Congress which has not taken the DJ Halli and KG Halli incidents seriously, has instead targeted Dakshina Kannada district by forming the anti-communal wing. There is a need for clarity on the functioning of the wing, he demanded.

The Udupi MLA’s reaction came in the backdrop of the formation of Anti-Communal Wing in the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate limits.
