UCA blocks Nanthoor - Vamanjoor road

Mangalore, Oct 26: The United Christian Association (UCA) organized a road block near Kulshekar in protest against the authorities, who have so far ignored all protests and demands to repair the road from Nanthoor to Vamanjoor.

Earlier, the association had submitted a memorandum to former DC V. Ponnuraj demanding the early repair of the road. He informed the association that he had contacted the highway assistant executive engineer in Bangalore, who had assured him that work will commence on Oct 18. President Alban Menezes had warned that the association will stage an intense protest if the district administration fails to get the roads repaired.

This stretch of road from Nanthoor to Vamanjoor is full of potholes and vehicles find it very difficult to ply over it.
