Two married men accused of repeatedly raping minor girl

Mangalore, Feb 19, 2012: A 13-year-old girl has accused two men of repeatedly raping her for a long time. The accused, however, have fled the scene ever since she made the allegation. 

The girl is the eldest daughter of a couple who had come to Mangalore from Badami in Bagalkot in search of a job. The victim has a sister and 3 brothers, and the family has been staying in Mangalore from April. 

The victim’s mother is a sweeper in a government school and her father is a coolie. The school had permitted the family to stay in a room in the school premises since the mother was doing a number of menial jobs in the school. The girl is studying in the IV Std. 

The two men had been allegedly sexually abusing her since April and threatening her not to reveal the matter. They used a car to rape her. Sometimes, one of them used to take her to his house to sexually abuse her and on other occasions, they came to her room when her parents were away to sexually abuse her. 

Finally, the girl, who was unable to bear the torture anymore, narrated the incident to her neighbor who immediately informed her mother. The mother immediately lodged a complaint at the police station. 

The Bunder police arrived at the spot, interrogated the victim, and took her to the hospital for a medical test. 

The accused are married men with children and have been identified as Wahid (45) and Mubarak (36) of Kandathpally in Bundar. The police have currently launched a man hunt for them.
