Two arrested for robbery at Sullia Congress leader’s house

Sullia, June 25, 2023: The Bengaluru police have successfully apprehended two individuals in connection with a robbery that occurred several months ago at the residence of Congress leader Shamsuddin at Aramboor in Sullia taluk.

The arrests took place in different locations. Fayaz was captured in Sakleshpur, while Prasanna was apprehended in Govind Nagar, Bengaluru.

According to police sources, the apprehended individuals have been involved in more than 30 robbery cases across various areas.

During the interrogation, it came to light that the accused did not initially plan to commit a theft at Shamsuddin’s house. While on their way to meet an accomplice in Kasargod, they noticed a newspaper left at the gate of the house. Assuming that the residents were away, they decided to enter the premises.

The duo’s accomplice in Kasargod was facing financial difficulties in paying his lawyer’s fees. The arrested individuals offered to assist him and subsequently proceeded to carry out the robbery at Shamsuddin’s house.
