Train services changed due to track maintenance works in Palakkad Division

Mangaluru, Feb 4, 2026: Southern Railway has announced changes in several train services to facilitate quadrupling works on Western Railway and track maintenance works at various locations in the Palakkad Division. The changes include full cancellations, partial cancellations, change of origin, and regulation of trains on specific dates in February and early March 2026.

Partial Cancellation Due to Quadrupling Works

* Train No. 16336 Nagercoil Junction–Gandhidham BG Weekly Express
 Journey commencing on February 10, 2026, from Nagercoil Junction will be short-terminated at Ahmedabad Junction. The service will remain cancelled between Ahmedabad Junction and Gandhidham BG.

* Train No. 16335 Gandhidham BG–Nagercoil Junction Weekly Express
 Journey commencing on February 13, 2026, will originate from Ahmedabad Junction at 3.25 pm instead of Gandhidham BG. The service will be partially cancelled between Gandhidham BG and Ahmedabad Junction.

Full Cancellation of Train Services

* Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction–Coimbatore Junction Passenger
  Cancelled on February 7, 8, 14 and 21, 2026.

* Train No. 66606 Palakkad Town–Coimbatore Junction MEMU
  Cancelled on February 12, 13, 14 and 16, 2026.

* Train No. 56603 Coimbatore Junction–Shoranur Junction Passenger
  Cancelled on February 14 and 21, 2026.

Partial Cancellation of Train Services

* Train No. 16608 Coimbatore Junction–Kannur Express
  On February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026, the train will be short-terminated at Kozhikode, remaining cancelled between Kozhikode and Kannur.

* Train No. 16307 Alappuzha–Kannur Express
  Journeys commencing on February 25, 2026, and March 4, 2026, will be short-terminated at Shoranur Junction, with cancellation between Shoranur Junction and Kannur.

Change of Origin of Train Services

* Train No. 22610 Coimbatore Junction–Mangaluru Central Intercity Superfast Express
  On February 12, 13 and 15, 2026, the train will originate from Palakkad Junction at 7.00 am, instead of Coimbatore Junction.

* Train No. 16844 Palakkad Town–Tiruchchirappalli Junction Express

  * On February 12 and 13, 2026, the train will originate from Kanjikode at 7.00 am.

  * On February 14, 15 and 16, 2026, it will originate from Walayar at 7.15 am.

* Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction–Coimbatore Junction Passenger
  On February 12 and 22, 2026, the train will originate from Palakkad Junction at 9.20 am.

Regulation of Train Services

The following trains will be regulated (delayed) en route on specified dates:

* Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction–Coimbatore Junction Passenger:
  February 5, 6 and 9, 2026 – delayed by 40 minutes.

* Train No. 16338 Ernakulam Junction–Okha Bi-weekly Express:
  February 13, 20 and 27, 2026 – delayed by 1 hour 10 minutes.

* Train No. 07114 Kollam Junction–Charlapalli Festival Weekly Special Express:
  February 5, 2026 – delayed by 50 minutes.

* Train No. 12511 Gorakhpur Junction–Thiruvananthapuram North Raptisagar Express:
  February 13 and 20, 2026 – delayed by 1 hour 10 minutes.

* Train No. 12521 Barauni Junction–Ernakulam Junction Weekly Express:
  February 9, 2026 – delayed by 1 hour 20 minutes.

* Train No. 12618 Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction–Ernakulam Junction Mangala Lakshadweep Superfast Express:
  February 25, 2026, and March 4, 2025 – delayed by 35 minutes.
