Expert PUC creates NEET history; 60 students score above 600, 97.36% qualify for medical admissions

Mangaluru, Jul 18, 2026: Expert Pre-University College has registered a record-breaking performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026, with 60 students scoring above 600 marks and an impressive 97.36 per cent of its candidates qualifying for medical admissions.

The college’s top performer, Dheeraj N, secured 677 out of 720 marks and achieved All India Rank (AIR) 336, while Ankit Ashok Dodawad scored 676 marks to secure AIR 355.

Announcing the results, institution chairman Prof. Narendra L. Nayak said the college had achieved one of its finest NEET performances. Two students scored above 675 marks, 10 crossed the 650-mark barrier, 34 scored above 625, and 60 students secured more than 600 marks. In addition, 141 students scored above 575, 169 above 550, 258 above 525, 356 above 500, 477 above 475, 614 above 450, 726 above 425 and 853 students scored above 400 marks.

Among the top achievers were Ujwal Shivanand Boodihal (667 marks, AIR 619), Samay A. S. (665, AIR 686), Nandan G. Patil (661, AIR 828), Nishanth M. Gowda (660, AIR 886), Krutika Mallikarjun Patil (660, AIR 894 and Category Rank 57), Yashas N. M. (660, AIR 875), Milan Madesh S. (655, AIR 1157) and Sanskar Ranjeet Shinde (655, AIR 1153). Several other students also secured All India Ranks within the top 10,000.

Prof. Nayak noted that while only around 56 per cent of candidates who appeared for NEET across the country qualified for medical admissions, 97.36 per cent of Expert PUC College students cleared the examination. He attributed the exceptional results to the institution’s rigorous academic training, systematic preparation and dedicated faculty.

The college described this year’s NEET outcome as one of its most successful performances, with a significant number of students becoming eligible for admission to MBBS and other medical courses across the country.
