Udupi, June 25, 2016: According to the police reports, thieves broke into the Sri Laxminarasimha Durga Ganapati Temple between 8 p.m. on June 23 and 5 a.m. on June 24, at Manipur village coming under Kaup police station limits and made good with gold ornaments worth Rs. 20,000.
Thieves also broke into the Sri Chakramma Temple at Kasaba village coming under Kundapur police station limits between 7 p.m. on June 23 and 6.30 a.m. on June 24 and made good with gold and silver valuables estimated at Rs. 23,500.
A case had been registered in both incidents and investigations were on, the police said.
