Mangalore, Nov 14, 2011 :  A man was stabbed by unknown people near Someshwar railway crossing on Nov 13 Sunday at 11:00 p.m. The victim was rushed to a hospital immediately, but could not be saved.

According to the police, the victim is Sandeep Shetty (27), believed to an associate of notorious criminal Bannanje Raja. Shetty is wanted in cases of murder and robbery at Puttur and other places. He is also notorious for collecting hafta.
