Student death case: Family makes futile search for missing lover

Mangalore, Oct 8, 2013:  The family members of Madan, said to be the boyfriend of Akshatha, a student  of a government college in the city who was found dead near the Mulihitlu ice plant at Bolar recently, made a futile search for the body of Madan at  the same spot on October 7, Monday.

It is believed that the family resorted to such a step on the basis of the prediction made by a Swamiji of Kanyana.

It is learnt,  the seer had told that the body of Mdaan was  close by the place where the body of Akshatha was found. It may be recalled here that Akshatha, a student of a government college in Mangalore who went missing last month was subsequently found dead five days later.

Reports said the family members  of Madan including his father and others had arrived from Manjeshwar in an ambulance at around 11 am. But, as  it was impossible for them to lay a trench at the place identified by the Swamiji due to water flow, they waited till evening. Later, a two feet deep trench was dug up at around 5 pm. However, with nothing found, the family has returned empty handed.

There is information that the family would launch search even in the days to come as per the advice of the seer.
