Mangaluru, May 11, 2025: District in-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao warned of strict action against those spreading fake news on social media amidst the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions. “Such acts will not be tolerated,” he stated, urging people to support and uplift the morale of soldiers.
The minister responding to a bigger conspiracy and role of members of PFI in the murder of Suhas, said the government cannot answer to figments of BJP’s imagination. "If BJP had some definite information and evidences which they can share it with the government, then the police will take action," he stressed.
Dinesh responding to criticisms on not paying a visit to the house of murder victim, said that murders keep happening. "It is not mandatory to make visits (to houses of murder victims). The responsibility is to see that the accused are arrested and punished,": he added.
Reacting to MLA Harish Poonja’s controversial remarks, Rao said, “An FIR has been filed, and no stay order exists. His comments reflect his vulgar mindset and do not warrant further response.”
