Mangaluru: Speeding car rams into Kerala govt bus at Beeri junction; driver injured

Ullal, July 1, 2025: A Kerala State Transport bus suddenly braked, causing a speeding car behind it to crash into the rear of the bus at Kotekar Beeri on Monday afternoon.
The Kerala government bus, which was traveling from Kasaragod to Mangaluru, had stopped at Beeri Junction to drop off passengers. At that moment, a car approaching at high speed from behind rammed into the bus. The impact was so severe that the rear of the bus and the front portion of the car were heavily damaged.
The car driver sustained injuries and has been admitted to a hospital.
Due to the accident, traffic was disrupted on the highway near Beeri Junction for some time. Mangaluru South Traffic Police visited the scene and conducted an inspection.
