Bantwal, Nov 20, 2025: A young engineering student died and another sustained serious injuries after a collision between a car and a scooter at Kavalakate in Bantwal taluk on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Ananya (21), daughter of Sunil from Kadaba. She was riding the scooter at the time of the accident.
Prithvi, a resident of Guruvayanakere and the pillion rider, suffered severe injuries and has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. Both were reportedly final-year engineering students at a Mangaluru college.
