Mangaluru, Feb 24, 2021: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Ashwatha Narayana C N has said that the state government was committed towards constructing an IT and Software Technology Park on a five acre land in Dakshina Kannada district.
He was speaking after inaugurating the one-day Innovation Conclave organised by KEONICS at Ocean Pearl Auditorium on February 24, Wednesday.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the proposed project would help in identifying Mangaluru in the global IT map.
He said the National Education Policy too laid more emphasis on the Information Technology field. The society will progress when quality of education is given more importance, he added.
Presiding over the function, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said there was a plan to have a Land Bank measuring 10,000 acres in view of the development of the district.
KEONICS Chairman Harikrishna Bantwal in his address said Mangaluru should be recognised at the global level in the days to come and stressed the need to create more job opportunities.
