Speaker U T Khader visits areas prone to sea-erosion in Ullal

Mangaluru, May 27, 2023: Newly elected Speaker and Mangaluru constituency MLA U T Khader on May 26, Friday visited several areas of Uchila, Battapady, Seaground etc which suffer from sea-erosion problem every monsoon.

He also spoke to Deputy Commissioner Ravikumar M R and other officials on the ways to tackle the problem.

Later, speaking to reporters, Khader said there was a need to find a solution to the problem well before the problem aggravates.

Stressing the need for a permanent solution to the problem, he said experts will be asked to submit a report following which suitable measures would be taken.

Several officials as well as locals were present on the occasion.
