Mangalore, Mar 2, 2013: Senior Congress leader and formerMP Vinaykumar Sorake has  alleged that the past five years of BJP rule in the MCC has done more harm than good to the city.


Speaking to reporters in Mangalore on  March 2, Saturday, he exuded confidence that the party would be able to put up a good show in the ensuing elections. He launched a scathing attack on the BJP for its failure to complete the construction of the second vented dam and alleged that the introduction of the Self-Assessment Property Tax system has hit hard the middle class. Even the rules for granting licence to construct buildings were modified to suit the influential builders rather than tehordinary man, Sorake alleged.

He also referred to the Padayatra organised by the Congress from Ullal to Malpe to promote peace and amity and to create an awareness on the BJP misrule.
