Since the local court had not yet received the order, a copy of the same was submitted on Nov 20. Renuka Devidas Raikar, presiding officer, pointed out the copy was not attested, following which an attested copy was produced on Nov 21.
The judge said that the order did not mention specifically that Soorinje has to be released, in response to which the lawyer said that the order did not mention specifically that Soorinje should continue to be detained.
The judge, therefore, ruled that a clarification should be sought from the High Court after which the court will decide if Soorinje should be released or continue to be detained.
