Goa CM Pramod Sawant visits Kateelu Durga Parameshwari Temple, offers prayers

Mangaluru, Nov 3, 2026: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited the famous Kateelu Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple in Dakshina Kannada district and offered special prayers to the presiding deity.

On his arrival at the temple, Chief Minister Sawant was warmly welcomed by the temple authorities. He later visited the sanctum sanctorum and sought the blessings of Goddess Durga Parameshwari, praying for peace, prosperity, well-being and the welfare of the people.

One of Karnataka’s prominent pilgrimage centres, the Kateel Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple is revered by devotees for its rich religious traditions, spiritual significance and sacred atmosphere.

On the occasion, the temple authorities honoured the Goa Chief Minister by presenting him with the deity’s sacred cloth (Sheshavastra) and prasadam.

Kamala Devi Prasad Asranna, Harinarayana Asranna, Sadananda Asranna and other prominent temple representatives were present.

Chief Minister Sawant concluded his visit after offering prayers and receiving prasadam.
