Sharada Educational Institutions to hold cultural competitions for children

Mangalore, July 24, 2012: Sharada Educational Institutions in Kodialbail has organized DK and Udupi district level cultural competitions for primary, secondary, and higher secondary students on July 26 – 30.

Prof. M. B. Puranik, president of Sharada Educational Institutions, told reporters on July 23, Monday that these competitions are being held to create love for art and culture among children.

The competitions are also being held as part of the institution’s binennal celebrations. Mr. Puranik said that competitions will be held in Bharathnatyam, Carnatic music, Bhagavad Gita recitals, Yogasana, and Rangoli, among others. Registration is free.

The institution will also hold competitions for pre-university students, the dates for which will be announced later. Those interested can contact the organizers by calling 0824-2492628/2493089.

Kannada Sahitya Parishad President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura was also present.
