Search underway for missing fisherman in Shree Raksha boat tragedy

Mangaluru, Dec 04, 2020: Search is underway to trace the last of the six fishermen who had gone missing following the capsize of Shree Raksha Boat. The bodies of five of the missing fishermen have already been traced. However Ansar (31) is still missing despite persistent search efforts by expert divers, Coast Guards, Coast Guard Police and purse-seine boats.
Meanwhile, the capsized boat still remains in the sea as there is no facility to lift it and bring it ashore. Though the DC had earlier instructed to use the barge deployed at Someshwar for ADB project, the same could not materialise as the barge could lift only weights upto 15 tonnes.
