Row over pregnant lady’s pic in Poshan event banner: Bajrangdal activists create ruckus

Mangaluru, Sep 27, 2022: A Flex banner on the Poshan programme, that featured the photo of a pregnant woman created uproar after Bajrangdal activists stormed into the Kolya Narayan Guru Auditorium where the event was organised today and took the organisers to task.
The protestors alleged that the photo of the pregnant Hindu lady put up in the banner was picked from internet and that too without permission. The banner also had the photo of local MLA U T Khader. Later the programme organisers removed the controversial flex banner.
The event was organised by the DK Zilla Panchayat Women’s and Child Development Department. As part of it Anna Prashana and baby shower programmes were to be held.
