Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Mar 26, 2013: JD(S) State Vice President Sushil Noronha has alleged that  some of the JD(S) members who have quit the party  were now trying to damage the reputation of the party just for their own benefit.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Mar 26, Tuesday,  he said the leaders by quitting the party have brought in misunderstandings.

Commenting on MG Hegde, a party office bearer who too has bid good bye to the party, Noronha said Hegde was the one who had jumped to  many parties before he  joined JD(S). Citing reasons for Hegde’s bitterness, Noronha said Hegde had sought the post of District In-charge in the party but  had to be satisfied with the post of district secretary.”He never worked for the betterment of the party, but joined it just for personal gains,” Noronha alleged.

“Changing party frequently is not a big matter for Hegde, hence he must be conferred with all Party leaving award,” he further mocked.

Speaking about Nagaraj Shetty, Noronha said the leader opened his own party office at Pio Mall no sooner he joined the party. He had promised good candidates from his ward but failed to see to it that at least one candidate won,” Noronha pointed out.

“ Party Chief HD Kumaraswamy had announced Sadananda Shetty as the party candidate for the assembly elections considering him to be the right candidate. But M G Hegde in order to break the party,  had floated rumours that Sadananda Shetty is not contesting the MLA elections;  this is not true,” he said.

Aziz Kudroli, corporator of Kudroli ward said that DM Aslam had not visited the ward no 44 for campaigning. He attributed his victory to the hard works of party men. He was also all praise for the party’s district chief MB Sadashiv and said he was putting in a great deal of effort  to strengthen the party.

State Committee member Hyder Parthippady, District vice president Ramakrishna Shetty, District Organizing Secretary Muneer Mukkacheri and District JD(S) Secretary Srinivas Alva were present at the press meet.
