Mangalore, Apr 19, 2012: The Koti Namarchane (One Crore Tulasi offerings) to Lord Gopalkrishna as part of the fifth Pratishta Mahotsava of Sri Gopalkrishna Temple at Shaktinagar, Mangalore, will be inaugurated on April 19, Thursday at 4.30 pm by Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Mahaswamiji, the pontiff of the Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt, Hosanagar. The festivities will be held upto April 29.
Dr Prabhaker Bhat, RSS leader will preside over the function. KS Eshwarappa, State BJP President, N Yogish Bhat, MLA and Deputy Speaker, Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Erya Lakshminarayana Alva, Chancellor, Bharatha Sanskriti Pratishtana, Chennappa Gowda, Deputy Commissioner, Seemanth Kumar Singh,Police Commissioner, N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University, Dr KV Devadiga, Suguna C Naik and Sanjth Naik, Trustees of Sri Gopalkrishna Temple, will be the chief guests.
The function would be followed by a variety of cultural programmes. Devotees attending the Koti Namarchane ceremonies will be treated to a host of religious and cultural programmes on all days of the festivities. Various dignitaries will grace the religious meets that will be held. The programmes range from religious discourses, Harikatha, Yakshagana Thalamaddale, ballets, comedy play etc. Arrangements have also been made to offer Prasada Bhojana to the devotees on all days from 10 am to 10 pm. Poornakumbha welcome will be accorded to religious heads and devotees offering Tulasi Hore Kanike to the Lord.
The valedictory ceremony to be held on April 29 will be graced by Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda among other dignitaries.
