Palemar launches high tech bus shelter at Balmatta

Mangalore May 8: District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar inaugurated a high tech bus shelter at Balmatta on May 8, Saturday. He expressed his appreciation of the people who donated such excellent facilities to the people.

Speaking about the inconveniences faced by the people because of incomplete road construction and other developmental activities, he said that all problems will soon be solved and people will experience a perfectly developed city within one year. He also assured the public that the district administration has taken all the required steps to tackle all monsoon-related problems. 

This high tech bus shelter enables six buses to stop simultaneously. Moreover, it has been designed to provide protection from monsoon-related problems. The roof is 9ft in length, providing complete protection from rain water. 

Palemar also inaugurated separate seating arrangements for senior citizens. MLA Yogish Bhat inaugurated the cold water service. Mayor Rajani Dugganna and DC V. Ponnuraj launched the toilet facilities for men and women, respectively. Roshan Baliga, the executive director of GD Institution, was present. 

Palemar then boarded the Mangalore – Kasargod Volvo bus for Thokkottu to campaign for the GP elections.
