Mangalore, Nov 1: Mohan Kumar has confessed to killing a woman, 35-year-old Poornima, a resident of Manjeshwar, Kerala, in 2007. This turned out to be the twentieth victim of his brutal killings.
Poornima’s parents read news reports of Mohan Kumar’s serial killings and paid a visit to Batnwal, where they identified him as their daughter’s killer in Bantwal Police Station. In 2007, Mohan Kumar had approached Poornima’s parents and told them that he would like to marry her without any dowry.
Interestingly, Mohan Kumar accepted the crime that he had taken Poornima to Bangalore and stayed in a lodge at Majestic area. Later, he had taken her to the KSRTC bus stand and given her cyanide making her believe that it was a contraceptive pill.
Poornima’s unnatural death, however, recorded as a missing. case This is the only case in which Mohan allegedly approached the parents of the girl. In all the other case, he had avoided girl’s family and anybody else close to her.
