NYF Day 2 – Colonial Cousins entertain thousands at Mangala Stadium

Mangalore, Jan 14, 2012 : The highlight of the second day of the 17th National Youth Festival (NYF) was a 3-hour performance by the internationally acclaimed Colonial Cousins, comprising singer Hariharan and the composer singer Lesle Lewis.

 

 

 

 

 

The two entertained thousands of music lovers who were gathered at Manga Stadium with their unique fusion of Western and Indian music.

Hariharan presented some popular numbers such as Savi Savi Nenapu, O Shanti, Roja Janeman, Chiku Buku Railu, Kalvannu Thadeyoru Yaru Illa, and others. He entertained the audience for nearly one hour, after which Lesle Lewis joined him to sing Colonial Cousins, their signature song.

Things became very special indeed when he encouraged the audience to sing with him. Since the audience comprised a number of play back singers, the song created a delightful effect.
