Muslim Religious Leader Honored for Completing 60 Years Service

The authorities of Ullal Darga organized a programme to felicitate and honor Ullal Kazi, Assayyed Abdurrahman Al Bukhari, a prominent leader of Sunnat Jamaat, for successfully completing 60 years of religious and social service in Ullal. The Ullal Tanga’s disciples, well-wishers, and fans witnessed this historical incident.

Assayyed Ibrahim Khaleel Tangal Al Bukhari Kadalundi said in his inaugural speech that the Ullal Tangal is the first person of the Dini sect to have successfully completed 60 years of social service in a particular place. The chief guest of the programme, Al Haj C. M. Ibrahim, former union minister, said that the spiritual leader should be felicitated in different parts of the country. Mr. Ibrahim said: “Ullal Tangal has occupied a special spot in the hearts of people all over the country and abroad. He has rendered exemplary services to the community. When he first set foot in Ullalk, it was just a neglected hamelt; and he did not even know the local language. However, he soon made himself popular among the residents, learned their language, and gave religious knowledge to the people. Ullal became famous all over the nation owing the activities of the Ulema. His selflessness and simplicity is worth emulating.”

The Ullal Tangal accepted the warm wishes of dignitaries such as Shaikhuna A. P. Abubakker Musliyar Kantapuram, Assayyed K. S. Atakoya Tangal Kumbol, Maulana Perode Abdurrahman Sakhafi, Karnataka Jamiyatul Ulema President Bekal Ibrahim Musliyar, Shaikhuna M. A. Abdul Khadir Musliyar, and Maulana Chullikkode Dr. Hussain Sakhafi. 

Prominent people, such as Al Haj Y Abdulla Kunhi, the chancellor of Yenepoya University; former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake; Al Haj A. K. Abdurrahman Musliyar; Al Haj Abdul Hamid Musliar Mani; and many more, were present on the occasion. 

Haji U. K. Monu, the Syed Madani Darga Shariff, presided over the function, welcomed the gathering, and gave the introductory speech. Pallangod Abdul Khader Madani presented the programme. R. K. Bawa, the secretary of the trust, gave the vote of thanks.
