Milagres, Falnir Ward Residents’ Welfare Assn comes into being

Mangalore, Mar 18, 2013: The Milagres and Falnir Ward Residents’ Welfare Association ® was formally inaugurated by  Yogish Bhat, Deputy Speaker, at a function held at Milagres Jubilee Hall on March 17, Sunday.

In his address, Yogish Bhat, urged the Association members to prepare an action plan for the overall development of the ward in the next five year period. He stressed the need for the formation of a core committee  by appointing  two members from each ward in order to see to it that all civic woes are redressed.

He said the problems regarding irregular garbage disposal, shortage of drinking water supply etc can be effectively tackled through such committees which can present their case before the authorities concerned.

JR Lobo, former commissioner of Mangalore City Corporation, also spoke. Dharmanna Naik, President of the Welfare Association, presided over the function.  Local corporators Jacintha Alfred, Abdul Ravoof,  Abdul Farhad, Secretary of the Association , Prof. Rita Noronha and several others were present.
