Mangaluru, December 15, 2025: A court has imposed a fine on a scooter owner after a minor boy, who was riding the scooter, allegedly caused an accident.
The incident occurred at around 3:50 a.m. on March 30, 2025, near Nantoor Padavu on National Highway 66. A minor boy was riding a scooter when he collided with another two-wheeler that was traveling in the same direction towards Kuntikana. As a result, riders of both vehicles sustained injuries.
Following the incident, a case was registered at the Kadri Traffic Police Station. After investigation, PSI Rosamma filed the charge sheet in court.
After hearing the case, JMFC Eighth Court Judge Fawaz P.A. ordered a fine of ₹25,000 on Abdul Hameed, the scooter owner, for allowing the minor to ride the vehicle.
