Mangaluru, May 31, 2024: It is Back to School for children. After a two-month summer holiday, schools across the state have reopened for the academic year 2024-25.

Children were seen joyously  heading towards schools across the city. In some schools, teachers were ready at the gates to welcome the children with the traditional Arathi. Many school children, particularly children of government schools along with their teachers took out processions in nearby areas to mark the beginning of the academic year.

Many schools were tastefully decorated to welcome the students. The education department has made arrangements to distribute text books and uniforms to the students.
