Mangaluru Police Arrest 11 Students, Seize 12 kg Cannabis

Mangaluru, Sep 27, 2025: Acting on information received through a QR code-based tip-off circulated among colleges, Mangaluru police on Friday arrested 11 second-year BBA students and seized 12.264 kg of cannabis.
A raid led by Mangaluru South police sub-inspector Sheetal Alagur at a flat in Kings Court Apartments, Kaprigudde, Attavar, resulted in the seizure of seven packets of cannabis valued at ₹2.45 lakh, along with two digital weighing machines and 11 mobile phones.
The arrested students were identified as Adwait Shrikant, Mohammed Apsin, Mohammed Swanid, Nibin T. Kurian, K.K. Mohammed, Mohammed Hanan, Mohammed Shamil, Arun Thomas, C. Mohammed Nihal, V. Mohammed Zasil, and P. Sidhan.
According to police, the contraband was sourced from Odisha.
