Mangaluru: Pedestrian killed after being hit by bus near AB Shetty Circle

Mangaluru, September 4, 2025: An unidentified pedestrian died after being hit by a bus near AB Shetty Circle in the city on Tuesday evening.

Police said the accident occurred when the driver, identified as Anwar Hussain, drove the bus carelessly without noticing the man crossing the road. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Wenlock Hospital, where he later succumbed.

Death

The deceased is believed to be around 60 years old. He was wearing a blue and pink striped shirt, grey pants, brown shorts, and a black belt. He is about 5.7 feet tall, of medium build, wheatish complexion, and has a 1-inch wide black mole on his right rib area.

Police have requested anyone with information about the victim’s identity to contact the Traffic West Police Station at 0824-2220524.
