Mangaluru: Deadly weapon seized from car at Mudipu check post; case registered

Mangaluru, Jan 27, 2026: Konaje police detected and seized a deadly weapon being illegally transported in a car during a late-night check near the Mudipu check post on Saturday night.

According to police, Konaje Police Station ASI Mohan L, along with his staff, was on late-night patrol duty within the station limits when they stopped a car at the Mudipu check post for inspection. During the search, the police found a machete with a six-inch wooden handle and a two-foot-long, sharp blade hidden in the car’s boot.

It is alleged that the accused was carrying the weapon illegally during late hours with the intention of disturbing public peace. The police seized the car along with the deadly weapon and registered a case against the accused.
