Karnataka ADGP Devajyoti Ray among 33 officers to receive President’s medals on Republic Day

Bengaluru, January 26, 2026: An Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) from Karnataka is among 33 officers from the police, fire, home guards and civil defence, and correctional services who have been selected for gallantry and service medals on the occasion of Republic Day.

According to the list released on Sunday, ADGP Devajyoti Ray has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM). Other recipients of the PSM include Rangappa Thimmappa, Assistant Commissioner of Police, and Pradeep Kumar Rangaswamy Holenarasipura, Senior Platoon Commander (Home Guards and Civil Defence).

K V Manjunatha, Regional Fire Officer, along with firemen Hemanth Kumar D and Mallikarjuna, have been honoured with the Medal for Gallantry (GM).

The Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) will be awarded to the following officers:
