Mangaluru, May 30, 2026: A city bus driver and conductor have earned widespread appreciation on social media for their timely and compassionate response in helping an injured mother and child reach a hospital after they reportedly fell from another bus in Mangaluru on Friday.

The incident involved driver Dayanand and conductor Sandeep of a Master Bus operating on Route No. 13B between Kavoor and Kunjathbail. The mother and child were reportedly travelling in a bus moving in the opposite direction when they fell near Marakada Junction.

According to reports, both victims were unresponsive after the fall, causing concern among bystanders at the scene.

Upon noticing the incident, Dayanand and Sandeep immediately stopped their bus and rushed to assist the injured pair. After assessing the situation and ensuring their safety, they requested passengers to alight from the bus and promptly transported the mother and child to a nearby hospital in the same vehicle for emergency medical treatment.

Their swift action, empathy and sense of responsibility have been widely praised by the public, with many lauding the duo for their exemplary display of humanity and service.
