Mangaluru, Nov 26, 2025: A man who had gone absconding in connection with the murder of advocate Naushad Kashinji and several other cases has been arrested by a team led by the ACP of Mangaluru North Sub-Division. The accused has been identified as T. Dinesh Shetty alias Dinnu, a resident of Hosamane in Belthangady taluk.
Dinesh Shetty had been sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2009 murder of advocate Naushad Kashinji, allegedly carried out on the instructions of underworld don Ravi Poojary and gangster Kali Yogish. He served 11 years in prison and was released in 2019 after securing bail from the Karnataka High Court.
In the following years, he reportedly became involved in cases of kidnapping under the Kavoor Police Station limits, as well as cheating and extortion under the Mangaluru North Police Station limits.
Having failed to appear before the court for the past one and a half years and remaining in hiding, Dinesh was finally arrested on Tuesday.
