Mangaluru : 200 kg ganja seized from fish truck ; four arrested

Mangaluru, May 26, 2021:      Police have arrested four  persons on the charges of transporting 200 kg ganja in a fish  lorry.

The Police who were on the lookout for the accused in a dacoity case in Moodbidri received information that ganja was being supplied from Thoni Andra in Vishakapatnam. Accordingly the truck from Hassan with a car as an escort was intercepted at KC Road and the vehicle was seized.

Those arrested are Mohiuddeen Nawaz (34), Mohammad Farooq (24) from Kasargod, Mohammad Ansar (23) from Mudipu and Sayyed Mohammad (31) from Kodagu.

Police have seized a Skoda car, four swords, four mobile phones and a Wi-Fi set from the accused.

City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 to the Mangaluru South Sub-Division and Moodbidri police team for the successful operation.
