Mangaluru, June 15, 2025: Nikhil Sonnad, a student of Expert Pre-University College, Mangaluru, has achieved a historic milestone by securing the 17th rank at the national level and the 1st rank in Karnataka in the NEET 2025 entrance examination. Scoring 670 out of 720, Nikhil has set a remarkable benchmark.
Highlighting the institution’s excellence, seven students scored above 625 marks, 19 students crossed the 600-mark, and a total of 684 students secured over 400 marks, said Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, the institution’s president.
Nidhi K.G., with 648 marks, secured the 84th rank in the All-India General Merit list. Other high achievers include: Saish Shravan Pandit (636 marks, 159th rank); Shreyas Mallappa Mahalingapur (632 marks, 214th rank); Suchith P. Prasad (631 marks, 226th rank); Varun Siddappagowdar (630 marks, 241st rank); Siddesh B. Damalli (626 marks, 317th rank); Pooja (623 marks, 386th rank); Vachana L.A. (620 marks, 455th rank)
Several other students achieved ranks within the top 2,000, showcasing the college’s exceptional performance.
Out of all candidates who appeared for NEET across India, 56% qualified for medical admissions. At Expert PU College, an impressive 99% of students cleared the eligibility criteria, further underlining the institution’s commitment to quality education, added Prof. Nayak.
