SWR cancels Bengaluru–Mangaluru, Karwar trains for track maintenance

Mangaluru, Aug. 6, 2026: South Western Railway has announced the cancellation of six train services between Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Karwar during October and early November to facilitate track maintenance works.

According to the railway authorities, the affected trains will remain fully cancelled on specified dates.

The cancelled services are:

* Train No. 16575 Yesvantpur Junction–Mangaluru Junction Gomteshwara Tri-Weekly Express: Cancelled for journeys commencing on October 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 22, 25, 27, 29 and November 1 and 3, 2026.
* Train No. 16576 Mangaluru Junction–Yesvantpur Junction Gomteshwara Tri-Weekly Express: Cancelled for journeys commencing on October 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 23, 26, 28, 30 and November 2 and 4, 2026.
* Train No. 16515 Yesvantpur Junction–Karwar Tri-Weekly Express: Cancelled for journeys commencing on October 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30 and November 2, 2026.
* Train No. 16516 Karwar–Yesvantpur Junction Tri-Weekly Express: Cancelled for journeys commencing on October 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 22, 24, 27, 29, 31 and November 3, 2026.
* Train No. 16539 Yesvantpur Junction–Mangaluru Junction Weekly Express: Cancelled for journeys commencing on October 10, 24 and 31, 2026.
* Train No. 16540 Mangaluru Junction–Yesvantpur Junction Weekly Express: Cancelled for journeys commencing on October 11, 25 and November 1, 2026.

South Western Railway said the cancellations are necessary to carry out essential track maintenance works and advised passengers to check the status of their trains before commencing their journey and make alternative travel arrangements where required.
