Mangalorean Sathyajith’s family rubbishes allegations against him

April 28: The family of Sathyajith, who was closely associated with Shri Satya Sai Baba during the last few years of his life, has extended its support to him. They say that they are hurt because of the allegations leveled against him and want him to take up his responsibilities. Although they initially wanted him to leave the ashram, they are impressed by his determination to perform his duties.

The family says that they decided to support him because of his firm belief in the truth, adding that such allegations should not have been leveled against Sathyajith, who had sacrificed everything for Baba’s sake.

One of his family members informed that Baba liked Sathyajith so much because of his self-discipline, strength, sincerity, and fearlessness. He also said that Baba had publicly praised Sathyajith on various occasions, including the Gurupurnima celebrations of 2003.

Regarding the allegation that Sathyajith had administered sleeping pills to Baba, the family member said that Sathyajith used to stay awake at nights so that he could take care of him. Denying the allegations that Sathyajith had almost imprisoned Baba, the family member said that nobody could imprison Baba because “he was supreme,” “fearless,” and “free,” adding that Sathyajith considered Baba to be his god.

Stating that Baba never believed in either denying any allegations made against him or justifying his stand, the family member said that the family feels the need to talk because the allegations might discourage the young boys who are selflessly serving in the ashram at present.
