New Delhi, Feb 25, 2026: BJP president Nitin Nabin on Wednesday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of undertaking foreign visits without informing security agencies and alleged that he had links with “anti-India and pro-Pakistan” elements abroad.
Addressing reporters, Nabin alleged that the Leader of Opposition was part of a “compromised mission” that he claimed began with India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and continued through subsequent generations of the Nehru-Gandhi family.
“Today, I want to expose what I call the compromised mission of the Nehru-Gandhi family, which traded national interests for personal gains. I also want to expose Rahul Gandhi, who is strutting about like a ‘babbar sher’ (lion),” said the 45-year-old Bihar MLA, who was appointed BJP president a month ago.
His remarks come amid a controversy over Indian Youth Congress activists staging a shirtless protest during the AI Summit in Delhi last week, raising the slogan “PM is compromised” in reference to a proposed trade deal with the United States, allegedly under pressure from the administration of US President Donald Trump.
Nabin cited Nehru’s alleged remarks describing India’s growing population as a “liability” and the country’s defeat in the 1962 war with China as examples of what he termed a “compromised mission.” He also accused former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of “giving up Pakistan-occupied Kashmir” after the 1971 war.
Further, he alleged that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had benefited personally from the Bofors gun deal. Nabin also targeted Sonia Gandhi, claiming she functioned as a “super prime minister” between 2004 and 2014, undermining the authority of the constitutional post.
The BJP leader alleged that Rahul Gandhi had undertaken 247 foreign visits without informing security agencies and accused him of maintaining links with “anti-India, pro-Pakistan and China” elements, naming billionaire George Soros, US Congress member Ilhan Omar and Kenyan financier Shakir Merali.
“Rahul Gandhi represents negative politics. But the people of this country, especially the youth, have seen through his game and will not be misled by his rhetoric,” Nabin added.
