Rahul Gandhi stages dharna over FIR denial in pellet injury case

New Delhi, Aug 21, 2026: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is sitting on a dharna outside DCP office in Delhi after the Police reportedly refused to file FIR in the Pellet gun victim case.

Earlier in the day, high drama unfolded in the national capital as the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha visited Delhi’s Parliament Street Police Station with a youth who allegedly suffered pellet-gun injuries during the July 20 Gen Z protest.

Visuals showed Gandhi walking into the police station with the alleged victim, Sahil Lochab.

Rahul had demanded registration of FIR over pellet injuries sustained by the youth during the July 20 protest.
