Kasaragod: School bus collides with bike, rider killed

Kasaragod, Aug 20, 2026: A 25-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided head-on with a school bus at Povval Masthikundu near Bovikkan on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Shammas Abdullah (25), a resident of Galimukha near the Kerala-Karnataka border.


Bus-Bike collision-rider killed

Shammas, who ran a juice shop in Kozhikode, was returning home on his motorcycle around 8.30 a.m. When he reached Masthikundu, his bike collided head-on with a private school bus coming from the opposite direction. He suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot.

Shammas had previously worked in Saudi Arabia and had married Fatima, a resident of Mogral, just a few months ago.

Adhur police have registered a case.
