Mangalore-Palakkad inter-city express from Nov 18

Mangalore, Nov 17, 2011: Oscar Fernandes, Member of Parliament will flag off 22609/22610 Mangalore Central - Palakkad junction intercity express at 11 a.m. on November 18 at Mangalore Central Railway station.

Railway link A press release by the Palakkad division of the Southern Railway said here on Thursday that the train no. 22609 Mangalore Central–Palakkad Intercity Express will leave Mangalore Central at 12 noon and will reach Palakkad Junction at 6.15 p.m. In the return direction, train 22610 Palakkad - Mangalore Central express will leave Palakkad junction at 7.25 am and reach Mangalore Central at 1.40 pm.

Mr K.H. Muniyappa, Union Minister of State for Railways, will be the chief guest on the occasion.

These trains will stop at Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalassery, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur and Ottapalam. This train will have one A/C chair car, four second class chair cars, six second class coaches and two-luggage cum brake vans. Reservation for this train already commenced.
