Mangalore, Dec 13, 2013 : Members of the district unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) who are enthused over the party’s stunning performance in the Delhi Assembly elections organised a victory rally in Mangalore on December 12, Thursday evening.
The rally which began from Dr Ambedkar Circle concluded at the Mahatma Gandhi Park near Town Hall.
Later, they lighted candles as a symbol of hope and with a great wish that the party would repeat its performance in other parts of the nation.
Robert Rosario, Convenor of the AAP said there has been a new wave in politics and people expect ethical politics as was evident from the Delhi Assembly election result. He also stressed the need to strengthen the party in the coastal district and exuded confidence that the district would elect an AAP leader as its Member of Parliament in the next election.
S Nandagopal, Dstrict Advisory Committee Member of the party also spoke on the occasion.
Several AAP members including Vinod Rao, Roshan Ullal, Sachitha Nandagopal, Ajay Kumar and others took part in the victory rally.
