Man found murdered in Sullia school: BEO holds emergency meet

Sullia, June 20, 2024: The Sullia Block Education Officer convened an emergency meeting of officials and authorities of the Kanthamangala government school in Ajjavara taluk on Wednesday after most of the students of the school abstained out of fear following the incident of finding a man dead in the school corridors.

On Wednesday only 16 out of the 90 students of the school had attended classes forcing the authorities to conduct an urgent meeting.

It may be recalled here that a man named Vasantha of Virajpete was found dead in the school corridors. It later came to light that he was killed by crushing his head with a stone by an acquaintance named Udaykumar Naika of Kadaba after the two slept there after consuming liquor in a wine shop.

The accused in the case has been arrested.
