Malpe, Mar 27, 2024: A one and a half year old child was rescued from drowning at the Malpe beach by a team of expert divers led by Eshwar Malpe on March 27, Tuesday evening.
A couple from Mysuru origin had been to the beach and had ventured into the water with their kid when the child got caught in tidal waves and fell unconscious.
Local autorickshaw drivers who noticed that the family was in distress immediately shifted the child to an ambulance. Later, the child was admitted to hospital where she is recovering.
