MSI to hold mass marriage ceremony at Belthangady on Aug 25

Mangalore, Aug 22, 2013: Mansharu Saquafathil Islamiyya (MSI), an educational institution in Belthangady, will host a community mass-marriage for five Muslim couples from poor families in the institution premises on Aug 25, Sunday.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on August 22, Thursday, institution secretary K M Aboobaker Siddique Montugoli said that  the nikah ceremony will be led by Udupi Khazi Bekal Ibrahim Musliyar and Kerala state SYS General Secretary Ponmala Abdul Khader Musliyar at 10 am.

The institution will also  present gold, dresses and cash incentives for each couple. MSI President Syed C T Umar Assaqafi Thangal will preside over the event.

On the occasion, newly built masjid at Mansharabad will also be inaugurated.

Several dignitaries like Minister for Minority Welfare Qamar-ul Islam, Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai, Minister for Health U T Khader, Minister for Urban Development Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Fisheries and Youth Affairs Abhaychandra Jain, MLAs Moideen Bava and K Vasanth Bangera will participate in the event and bless couples, he said.
